Get clarification on the City of Edmonton’s infill survey with resources from Edmonton Neighbourhoods United. Share your voice by January 29.
Earlier this month, the City of Edmonton launched a survey, Feedback on Proposed Changes to Infill, which we shared on our website and social media. The deadline for responding is January 29, 2026. Zoning and infill are topics that have generated a significant amount of interest in our community, and this survey provides an opportunity for neighbours to share their thoughts.
The Crestwood Community League’s Civics Committee has received many requests for additional information and clarification on the survey.
What we have heard is that the survey language feels very technical, and it may be difficult for residents to clearly understand what the proposed changes could mean for their own street or neighbourhood. Many people want to participate thoughtfully but are looking for additional plain-language explanations before submitting their feedback.
In response to these requests, the Crestwood Community League is sharing resources prepared by Edmonton Neighbourhoods United (ENU) for those who may be interested. ENU is a grassroots coalition representing approximately 50 neighbourhoods across Edmonton and they have compiled clear, accessible information to help residents better understand the survey questions and consider how potential changes could affect them and their communities.
These materials are not a script and are not intended to guide responses. They are simply offered as a tool to help residents think through the questions and relate them to potential real-world impacts in their own neighbourhoods. Residents are encouraged to use these resources at their own discretion.
ENU Resources
We encourage you to share your own perspectives directly through the City’s survey. If you wish, you may also consider emailing members of the Urban Planning Committee (a subset of City Council) to let them know that you have completed the survey and provide any additional thoughts or feedback you may have.
