Seasonal Programs

Crestwood Community League rents out the facilitity to various organizations that put on programs. The following is non-inclusive list of programs that run seasonally.

Pickleball

During the summer months, our ice rink has three pickleball courts available to members and guests. Bring your own net, or watch for drop-in announcements where we will have nets set up! Your own paddles and balls are required.

Outdoor Skating and Hockey

In the winter we maintain three ice surfaces for casual skating and hockey! We have a full sized rink, where pickup hockey happens. Our tennis courts are also converted to a multi-use skating rink. Lastly we have a miniature—skating only—rink for our junior members who are just learning.

Soccer

Indoor (October—February) and outdoor (May—June) soccer is administered through EMSA West emsawest.com.

Basketball

Basketball is administered from the Northwest Basketball Association northwestbasketball.ca

Pedalheads

Pedalheads is a learn-to-ride bike camp known for taking kids from training wheels to two wheels to road riding. They combine a fun group setting with specialized equipment, tailored cycling lessons, and incredible instructors to build confidence and get the most tentative kids to ride on their own.

Pedalheads Alberta runs summer programs at Crestwood Community League facilities. Please go to https://www.pedalheads.com/alberta to learn more and register.

Greenshack

The City of Edmonton (CoE) Summer Green Shack program is a free drop-in program for children ages 6-12; however, all are welcome to participate. Participants under 6 years of age are required to have a parent or guardian with them.

Get active and join in on games, sports, crafts, music, drama and special events! A complete list of activities and special events is posted on the side of Green Shacks each week. If there is a game or activity that piques your child's interest that you would like to have included in the programming, just ask the Program Leader.

Program leaders will be hosting a variety of games, challenges and activities that are sure to get kids active and having fun! Programs Leaders are easily identified by their blue shirts and may be assisted by volunteer leaders in training.
